From Genesis to Revelation, God reveals Himself in His Word, the Bible, as the God of life. God is the Creator of life, the Sustainer of life, the Supplier of eternal life, and the Judge of all life. God also reveals Satan as the destroyer of life. In Genesis, we see that Satan is the destroyer of life and the one who influenced Adam and Eve to introduce death into God’s creation. God is the Eternal One who is the only one who can give us temporal humans eternal life. God is the Holy One who alone can make sinners like us holy to have a relationship with Him. God is the Righteous One who can give us His righteousness through His Son as our Saviour to make us right with Him. God is the originator of life. God is the giver of life. God is the ultimate authority over life and, therefore, will be the Judge of us all for the life we have lived, with or without Him. Human life should be respected, valued, and protected above all other life forms because mankind is the only life form declared to have been created in the image of God. The Bible clearly describes life in the womb as possessing identity and value declared by God. Science has finally caught up to the Bible in identifying life as life from conception. Even though the Supreme Court reversed the Roe decision of 1973 with the Dobbs decision of 2022, there have been an increase of abortions nationwide. With the Biden administration changing history in allowing abortion drugs to be dispensed by mail without seeing a doctor personally, even into states with new restrictive abortion laws, the number of abortions continue to rise nationwide. Very liberal states like California are even having legislation allowing born babies to die after birth if the parent doesn’t want to continue with the life of the child. Satan is the author of death and the destruction of life as are many in liberal politics today. God is the author of life and all who seek to honor God will also support the value of human life. God will judge those who destroy life unless they repent of their sin just like the solution to every other sin we commit against God. God sent His Son to cleanse us of our sins if we will trust in Him by faith. When we are born into God’s family, we should value what God values, and God values human life in every stage and in every condition. I hope we will all support Next Step in prayer and in finances. I also pray we will all support life in who we vote for and in our communications with elected officials.

The God of New Life

From Genesis to Revelation, God reveals Himself in His Word, the Bible, as the God of life. God is the Creator of life, the Sustainer of life, the Supplier of eternal life, and the Judge of all life. God also reveals Satan as the destroyer of life. In Genesis, we see that Satan is the…

RENEW – January 11

God makes several statements in His Word about making things new. In Isaiah, He speaks of doing a new thing in His work on earth with mankind. Later in this prophetic book and in Jeremiah, He declares it to be a new covenant with man. In Isaiah 66, He states that He will make a…

RENEW – January 4

Happy New Year! I trust that 2025 finished well for each one and I do hope that you have considered the significance of our theme last year of Continue. This year I am asking the Lord to help us focus our attention on things that we need to intentionally continue to RENEW in order to…

Still Continue

As we close this year of 2025 and our theme of “Continue,” we still need to continue into the future in being faithful to the Lord, His Word, and His will for His children and His churches. We need to continue following what God’s Word says to do until the Lord takes us home to…

Thy Will Be Done

Luke 1:38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her. Luke 22:42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. Submission to God involves surrendering our will to His. It…

Incarnation Celebration

The fact of God sending His Son to earth in human form is what Christmas is all about. Jesus coming to earth in human flesh is truly worthy of the celebration of all who have enjoyed the benefit of it in biblical Salvation. The word incarnation means “becoming flesh” and that is what the Bible…

God Displaying His Glory

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name…

God Always Keeps His Covenants

We live in a time when many are turning against the nation of Israel. Sadly, even among churches that call themselves biblical churches, Bible believing churches, even a few fundamental independent Baptist churches, there are churches who are following the teaching of replacement theology in the idea that the church today replaces the promises to…

Faithfulness in Thankfulness

God is always faithful. The children of God should strive to maintain that family trait of our Heavenly Father. God’s people ought to be the most thankful people in the world. We should be thankful first of all to God for His Salvation and for all that we are promised in our relationship with Him.…

The Goodness of God

God is good! We see the goodness of God extended to us in so many ways. God’s goodness is extended to us in His creation. Everyone gains benefit from the creation. No matter who they are and no matter what they have done, everyone enjoys the goodness of God in His creation. In Matthew 5:45,…
