If we are going to have success in any endeavor, we must be focused in our efforts. If a student is going to succeed in their studies, they must focus their attention on their studies to learn, understand, and recall the information and facts when they are called upon to utilize them. When a hunter or marksman seeks to improve their accuracy, they must focus on their target and the details of their shooting in order to become more successful. As a believer in Christ, as His servants on earth, and His church in this community, we must focus on what He has given us to be and do. We need to regularly renew our focus on what Jesus has declared for us in the Scriptures. We need to focus on following our Saviour in our lives. We need to be focused on touching lives and impacting souls to help the lost hear the truth of the saving Gospel and encourage believers with the edifications of God’s Word. As servants of God,, we need to focus ourselves on honoring the Lord with the gifts and abilities He has blessed us with in doing His work while we are here. If we are going to honor the Lord in our worship, then we must focus on our goal of lifting up Jesus and honoring our Creator. We need to renew our focus on the stewardship of all that God has entrusted to us and blessed us with so that we use those things in ways that honor the Lord. We need to focus ourselves on His will for our lives and doing what He has given us to do. If we are going to live a life that is preparing for our accountability to our Creator, then we need to renew our focus on what He has given to us to do with Him. There is a great quote that we all need to think about seriously and deeply that was stated by a man that gave his life bringing the Gospel to a group of people who had never heard it before. “Only one life will soon be past, only what is done for Christ will last.” That is true for us all.
