God Still Saves Sinners

I am thankful that God still saves sinners. Paul declared this sentiment as well, and I can relate to his feelings. God has been doing quite a bit of saving sinners here in this place this year, and I praise Him for His blessings on His church here at Summerville. I am thankful to the Lord for decisions of spiritual growth, and even people making decisions of personal holiness and making changes in their living of life. It has been a wonderful blessing to see our attendance growing steadily and the waters of Scriptural Baptism stirring once again. We have seen God’s blessing in many ways as we seek to be obedient and faithful to His Word and to His will. It is important for God’s people in this place to each do our part at keeping His church here faithful to Him and His Word, so we can continue to experience His work being done and His blessings on our efforts of ministry. With the blessings of God, we should never be surprised by the attacks of the enemy. Satan always wants to thwart and hinder the work of God in the lives of people. The evidence is seen all through the Bible from cover to cover. The Bible opens up with a perfect creation by God in a perfect relationship with its Creator and, in just a bit of time, we see Satan working against man to dishonor his Creator through which he introduced sin and destruction to corrupt God’s perfect creation. Over and over again in Scripture, we see this dynamic of God’s blessings and Satan’s efforts to disrupt man’s experience of God’s blessings by drawing them to sin. We each must make sure personally that we keep ourselves submitted to the Lord to be a tool in His hand and resist the Devil’s effort to use our life as a tool in his hand. We need to keep ourselves faithful to the Lord and submitted to His will as we read God’s Word, meditate upon it, and apply it in our lives personally with the help of the Holy Spirit to help us honor the Lord. We need to be faithful to biblical worship including the preaching and teaching of God’s Word. We need to continue faithfully spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ from the Word of God house to house in the highways and hedges encouraging people to come to the Lord for relationship with Him. We need to faithfully seek to reach people in their needs with the love of Christ and help them draw close to the Lord in their lives. We need to do all that we do to the glory of God as our Heavenly Father through the name of His Son with the help of His Holy Spirit. I hope each of us will do our part to keep ourselves in the will of God.
