I am thankful for God’s goodness. God is always faithful to His people and to His promises. I am so thankful for God’s goodness to me in my life and in my ministry. I have been so blessed in the ministry experiences I have been part of and the churches I have served in over the years. God has surrounded me with people who love me and encourage me along life’s journey. Only twice in the twenty-four years I have been serving here have we seen a dip in our missions giving to the point where we were dipping into our surplus to meet our obligations, which is exactly why we maintain that surplus. Thankfully, the first dip (which was about thirteen or so years ago) was up again before the December check needed to be mailed out, and we were back to a place where we could still send out double support checks to our missionary families to bless them at Christmas. This time, after sharing the situation with the church family, after only one month we have made good progress in our mission’s deficit. I do believe that if we have another good month of progress in our missions, we will once again be able to give our missionary families double checks in December to be a blessing to them for Christmas. Thank you to each person that gave extra to help make up the difference. Thank you to everyone who regularly and faithfully gives sacrificially to support the Lord’s work here at Summerville Baptist Church with their obedient tithes. Thank you to everyone person that also gives above the tithe in giving an offering to missions by faith in the Lord to provide. I am thankful to each person who faithfully uses their God given talents and spiritual gifts in the Lord’s work in His church in this place in willing service in ministry. I am thankful for each person who is faithful to the worship of God according to the Word of God in the house of God for the glory of God. I am truly a blessed man, and I have so much to be thankful for as a child of God and as a servant of God. God has been very, very good to me and I give Him praise for the good God that He is.
