1 Corinthians 3:9
“For we are labourers together with God:
ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.”
Praise the Lord for all He has done here in this place for the past 71 years. I am grateful that Teri and I have had the privilege of serving with you for 27 of those years. God has done many wonderful things over the years since that time in September of 1955 when 30 people signed the church charter along with the first pastor of the church, Doyle Wilson. The church birth was the result of God burdening the hearts of two young ladies, Verna Bazler and Nadine Jaeger, who were missionaries to children in rural communities in 1953. They began with a Vacation Bible School that became a Sunday School for children and an after-school Bible club in the local elementary school in Imbler. As adults came to the Sunday School, they requested a preacher to come on Sunday for the adults and God established a church from their efforts on September 28, 1955. Most of those founding members are now with the Lord in Heaven, but the work of God continues on as God’s continues to add to His church and renew the hearts of its members in the work He still has to do in and from this place around the world. Over the years, the Lord has saved many lost souls through His Gospel ministry in His church here and many of those have followed the Lord in believer’s baptism. Over the years many have been called into the ministry from this place and are now serving the Lord in other churches and some are still serving here with us today. The Lord has built this church numerically and spiritually over the years and the faithful sacrificial giving of God’s people enabled them to build this current Worship Center debt free in 1998, and Lord willing the same will happen in the near future with our new Ministry Center facility. I am grateful for each person who loves what God is doing in this place with them as part of His work here. The Lord has enabled us to continually grow our Faith Missions Giving so we now support 46 missionaries who serve in 15 different countries and 28 different places in the United States of America.
