This is the first step toward revival personally and collectively. When we are surrendered to the Lord personally for His renewing in our spirit, great things take place. When we are renewed in our life personally to be in close fellowship and obedience to the Lord, we will be ready for revival personally to be taking place. When each member in a family is renewed in surrender to the Lord, then we can be ready for revival in our lives collectively as a family. When families and individuals are experiencing revival collectively, then the church that they make up is experiencing renewal as a whole and, therefore, is ready for revival to take place in the church body as a whole. When a church is experiencing revival in a community, then they will be impacting their community for God’s glory, living to God’s glory in their community, and intentionally declaring the Gospel of Christ to those they come in contact with daily, so that the Gospel and the Spirit of God is having more impact in that community through the children of God who are surrendered to their God and yielded to His Spirit as His tool in their community. This is the reality of II Chronicles 7:14 and many other Scriptures regarding renewal and revival in God’s people in in their community. Once revival is taking place in a community, then it can impact a state which then can impact other states which then can impact the nation as a whole for the glory of God. This is what our nation needs; but first of all, this is what our church and other churches need because this is what we as individual children of God and followers of Jesus need in our lives more than anything. More than personal discipline in our regimented lives, we need surrender to our Saviour as Lord in our life. We need to surrender to His will fully instead of trying to find ways we can blend His will into our will to find a happy middle ground where we can be comfortable. God has much He will do on this earth and He can use any of His children who are surrendered to His will in their lives to be part of His work if we are willing.
