- Introduction: Revelation 16:1-3
- The setting of this is coming from the Temple in Heaven
- The circumstance is the judgment of God on sinners on earth
- This prayer of praise was from one of the angels carrying out God’s judgment See Verse 5
- This prayer of praise is for the judgment of God Revelation 16:4
- This angel is carrying out God’s judgment on the earth
- This angel is fulfilling the will of god on earth against sin
- This angel is the third of seven angels pouring out God’s wrath
- This prayer of praise is for the justice of God Revelation 16:5-6
- God’s judgment is because of His righteousness
- God’s judgment is because of His authority
- His authority as the: Eternal One; Creator God; Holy God
- God’s judgment is because of His justice
- Justice for those they have killed;
- For the wickedness they have done;
- For their rejection of God’s grace & mercy that had been available but no longer is
- This prayer of praise is for the greatness of God Revelation 16:7
- There is a voice out of the temple speaking to the angels of judgment
- There is a voice of one of the angels of God’s judgment speaking to God as well
- This voice is praising the Lord for being the Almighty God
- This voice is praising the Lord for being the true God
- This voice is praising the Lord for being the righteous God in His judgments
- His judgments on:
- The father of sin
- on sin
- on sinners
- on the earth affected by sin
- on His people who had rejected Him & His Messiah
- His judgments on:
