“Fasting & Prayer Helps Us Follow God’s Will”   TEXT:  Acts 13:1-5

I. God works through people who are obedient (vv. 1-2)
A. Obediently part of the local church
B. Obediently serving in the local church
C. Obediently fasting as a local church
II. God speaks to those who are listening (v. 2)
A. Obedience helps us be attentive to God
B. Fasting helps us be sensitive to God
C. Listening helps us be preceptive to God
III. God works through the fasting and praying of His people (vv. 3-5)
A. They fasted and prayed before they sent them out as missionaries
B. They fasted and prayed before they went out to preach the Word of God
C. They fasted and prayed for the Holy Spirit to use them to His glory
