I. God made us to be with Him (Genesis 1:26-31)
A. God made us in His image to relate to Him (v. 26-27)
B. God made us in His likeness to commune with Him (v. 26)
C. God made us in His purpose to serve with Him (v. 28-31)
II. God was with His creation (Genesis 3:6-10)
A. God had perfect fellowship with His creation until sin
B. God had perfect communion with His creation until sin
C. God had perfect glory with His creation until sin
III. God was with others in Scripture
A. God was with Enoch (Genesis 5:22-24)
B. God was with Noah (Genesis 6:9-13)
C. God was with Abram (Genesis 12:1-9)
D. God was with Moses (Exodus 3:1-6; 14:11-16; 34:29-35)
E. God was with Joshua (Joshua 1:1-9)
IV. God wants us to be with Him (Revelation 21:3; Zechariah 13:9; II Corinthians 6:18; I Peter 3:7)
A. He came to be with us physically (Luke 1:26-38; Matthew 1:18-25; John 1:1-14)
B. God is now with us spiritually (I Corinthians 3:16; II Corinthians 6:16; Galatians 3:20; Ephesians 1:10-14; 3:1; 4:30; Colossians 1:27)
