TEXT:  2 TIMOTHY 2:14-26

1. Our foundation is sure
   1. If our faith is truly founded on Christ, then it is sure.
   2. If our faith is truly founded on God’s Word, then it is sure.
   3. If our faith is truly from our heart, then it is sure.   Romans 6:17; 1 Peter 1:22)
2. Our seal is secure.
   1. We are sealed by God…
      1. with His Spirit.  2 Corinthians 1:20-22; Ephesians 1:12-14
      2. for His Glory.  Ephesians 4:30
      3. but we need to avoid erring.
3. Our calling is stated.
   1. God has called…
      1. those who are His to live to honor Him.
      2. His children to come out of the world & unto Him.
      3. believers in Christ to prepare ourselves for His work.
         1. By putting off the old man and putting on the new man.  Eph 4:17-32
         2. By submitting to His Spirit & not our flesh.
         3. By cooperating with HIs will for us as His children
4. Our responsibility is succinct.
   1. Turn from temptation before it becomes sin.
   2. Follow things that lead to righteousness not sinfulness.
   3. Avoid things that cause struggles by doing things that build faith.
