God’s Love in Us Produces God’s Love from Us

Any human can love with human love. Since we humans are created in the image of God, we have the capacity to be loving because God is love as stated in I John 4:8. However, due to our sinful nature in our lost condition and our sinfulness as sinners, our capacity to express God’s love is greatly diminished in our sinful condition. Far too often our human love can be a bit self-serving or, unfortunately, a lot self-serving. God’s love is not that way at all. God’s love is self-sacrificing and other-oriented instead of self-oriented. God’s love is made available to us from God. Without us receiving it from Him, we cannot experience it in our own lives. Without us receiving it from Him in our own lives, we cannot have it to express it to others. The fact that God loves us and showed His love to us by sending His Son to save us from our sins is what draws us to receive God’s love into our life by faith. This is how we experience it in our life personally in saving us from our sins. When we experience God’s love in our own lives personally, then we have it in us so we have the ability and capacity to express it to Him in loving Him properly and other humans properly. Without receiving it from Him, we can only offer a love that we are capable of as humans in ourselves. When we experience God’s love personally, it can have an impact on who we are and how we live as well as how we live with others. When we receive love from God into our lives and experience it personally, then we have an understanding of it as it impacts us in our own life, which also helps us to express it unto others more effectively. We express His love to others in our witness to them with words and in our testimony before them in how we live life. God’s love should have an impact on us spiritually in our beliefs of faith inside our being as well as in our living of life practically in the world as we engage with others each day. God’s love is life changing temporally and eternally.
