We have heard much about the mandate of the election last fall to change the course of our nation. We have also heard much about the efforts of obstruction to carrying that said mandate from voters to the new administration and there is a very clear spiritual application to this reality. Jesus gave us the Great Commission to His followers. This is a command that we will be held accountable for when we stand at the Judgement Seat of Christ for our faithfulness to our obligations and responsibilities to our Saviour as His followers. Our Commander in Chief has commissioned us with a mandate to occupy with our dedication and diligence to fulfill our mission until He returns for us in the end of time before the Tribulation begins and we are caught up together with Him in the clouds to enter eternity with Him in Heaven. This commission or mandate is not optional for us, but far too many Christians treat it as if it is optional. It is not about having or not having some special spiritual gifting; it is the same for every child of God. There are no exceptions for any of us; we are all accountable the same. It is not a matter of being vocational in ministry or being a volunteer; it is about being a follower and, therefore, a representative of Christ. We have our orders from on high. We have our mandate to carry out. We have a commission to fulfill. We have a command to obey. We have an accountability to prepare for and it is up to each of us to do our part. We have missionaries we support to lead and train people to do this in their location of ministry, like the Goodman family who are here today from Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico. But it is up to us to be faithfully doing our part here while we support them to do their part there. Our support of them to do their part there does not exempt us from doing our part here where we live. We have been given a charge to keep! It is up to us to keep it.
