WED: “NO NEED TO FEAR MAN WHEN GOD IS FOR YOU”

TEXT:  JOSHUA 10:8-14

Introduction:  Joshua 10:1-7

  1. There is no need to fear going when God says go
    1. When God says not to fear, you have nothing to fear     Joshua 1:6-9; Matthew 28:18-20
      1. Confidence & courage are the opposite of fear
      2. God said not to fear because He would be with His children
      3. God has given us a commission to obey Him for His glory
    2. When God promises you victory, you have nothing to fear     I John 4:1-6
    3. When God proclaims, “no one will withstand”, you have nothing to fear     Matthew 16:17-19
  2. There is no need to fear obeying what God says to do    Joshua 10:9-11
    1. We need to obey God’s clear direction immediately
    2. We need to obey God’s clear direction experientially
      1. They experienced what God promised as they obeyed what God said
      2. They experienced God’s blessings as they obeyed God’s will
      3. They experienced God’s great power for them as they trusted Him to work
    3. We need to obey God’s clear direction victoriously
      1. Because they obeyed God, they enjoyed His victory
      2. Because they obeyed God, they saw God work miraculously
      3. Because they obeyed God, they enjoyed God’s help & God’s work
  3. There is no need to fear when the Creator God is with you    Joshua 10:12-15
    1. No need to fear asking Him anything in His name for His flory
    2. No need to fear the powers of nature when the Creator controls it
    3. No need to fear any day when God is Sovereign over each day
