WED: “FEARING GOD HELPS US PREPARE FOR ETERNITY”

TEXT:  ECCLESIASTES 8:10-13

  1. The Fear of the Lord helps us to turn from our wickedness
    1. The days of the wicked soon pass into the grave
    2. The evil of the wicked is encouraged when not punished
    3. The sin of the wicked continues unto destruction if they do not repent
    4. The fear of the Lord causes us to turn to the Lord in honor to Him
  2. The Fear of the Lord is vital to our spiritual success     Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
    1. It is the whole matter of spiritual success
    2. It is the whole duty of all people for spiritual success
    3. It is the whole detail of preparation for spiritual success in accountability
      1. We all will give account of our lives spiritually to the Lord
      2. We all need to prepare for our accountability to the Lord
      3. We all need to prepare with the fear of the Lord to obey the Lord
