I. We are called to worship God regularly (vv. 1-6)
A. Personal worship (vv. 1-2, 4-6)
1. I will bless the Lord at all times (v. 1a)
2. My mouth will praise the Lord continually (v. 1b)
3. My soul will boast in the Lord (v. 2a)
4. Humbly telling others of the Lord so they can be glad (v. 2b)
5. Seeking the Lord and listening to Him to strengthen us (v. 4)
6. Focusing on the Lord the let Him lift us up (v. 5)
7. Crying out to the Lord because He hears and answers (v. 6)
B. Corporate worship (v. 3)
1. Inviting others to join us in worshipping the Lord (v. 3a)
2. Exalting the Lord with others who love Him as we do (v. 3b)

II. Regular worship helps us enjoy God’s presence and protection (vv. 7-10)
A. His presence surrounding us to protect us (v. 7a )
B. His presence with us as we reverence Him properly (v. 7b)
C. His presence blessing us as we willfully enjoy His goodness (v. 8)
D. His presence giving us confidence as we honor Him (v. 9)
E. His presence experienced more as we seek Him personally (v. 10)
1. Seeking His intimacy
2. Seeking His provision
3. Seeking His sufficiency Psalm 23

III. Regular worship helps us benefit from God personally (vv. 11-16)
A. Listening to God individually (v. 11)
1. Come to listen to God speak from His Word
2. Come to be taught about God by others
3. Come to grow in reverencing God
B. Learning from God directly (vv. 12-14)
1. Learn to live life God’s way (v. 12)
2. Learn to guard our words from dishonoring God (v. 13)
3. Learn to control our flesh and behavior to honor God (v. 14)
4. Learn to trust in the Lord and turn to Him for our needs (v. 15)
5. Learn to the greatness and holiness of God (v. 16)
C. Living with God intimately (vv. 15-16)

IV. Regular worship helps us with God’s direction and deliverance (vv. 17-22)
A. Directing ourselves to the Lord (vv. 17-18)
1. Crying out to the Lord (v. 17)
2. Listening to the Lord (v. 17)
3. The Lord is near the broken hearted (v. 18)

B. Deliverance from the Lord (vv. 17-22)
1. Delivereth them out of all their troubles (v. 17)
2. Saveth such as of a contrite heart (v. 18)
3. The Lord delivereth out of the contrite heart (v. 19)
4. The Lord defends those who are attacked by the wicked (v. 20)
5. The Lord promise that we reap what we sow (v. 21)
6. The Lord redeeming the soul of his servants (v. 22a)
7. The Lord protects from desolation those that trust in Him
