I. The blessing of trusting in the Lord (vv. 1-6)
A. Trusting the Lord by looking to Him in faith (v. 1)
B. Trusting the Lord to experience His deliverance in my life (v. 2)
C. Trusting the Lord to receive a new message from Him to sing (v. 3)
D. Trusting the Lord by reverencing Him and His Word (v. 4)
E. Trusting the Lord in acknowledging His great goodness (v. 5)
F. Trusting the Lord by obeying His will and Word (v. 6)

II. The response of trusting in the Lord (vv. 7-11)
A. Obeying His Word (vv. 7-8)
B. Proclaiming His Word (vv. 9-10)
C. Enjoying more of His goodness in my life (v. 11)

III. The result of trusting in the Lord (vv. 12-17)
A. Not the absence of troubles in my life (v. 12)
B. But the help of God in my life with my troubles (vv. 13-15)
C. The Lord being pleased and magnified by His salvation of me (vv. 13a, 16)
