TEXT: Isaiah 43:14-28

1. God is the One doing the work
A. I have sent and have brought down (v. 14; Psalm 75:4-7; Daniel 2:37; 5:18)
B. I make a way and a path (vv. 16-17)
C. I will do a new thing (v. 19; Isaiah 42:5-10)

II. God is the One making the promise
A. I will (v. 19a)
B. It shall (v. 19b)
C. I will (v. 19c)
D. I blot out (v. 25)

III. God is the One providing the way
A. A way in the wilderness (Isaiah 41:17-20)
B. Rivers in the desert
1. As God did in the deliverance from Egypt (Exodus 17:6; Deut. 8:15; Nehemiah 9:15; Psalm 114:8)
2. As God did in the giving of His Spirit (John 7:37-39)
3. As God did in restoring Israel as a nation (Ezekiel 37; Isaiah 11:11-12; Amos 9:14-15)
4. As God will when Christ rules in Israel (Isaiah 32, 35)
C. Jesus is God’s way to Himself (John 14:6)
