TEXT: Psalm 26
Introduction: v. 3 “For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes:”
* Keeping our focus on God’s love.
* Keeping our focus on God loving people.
* Keeping our focus on God loving us individually.
* Keeping our focus on God’s love being shown from us to others.
* Keeping God and His love before my eyes by keeping our eyes in His Word.
Psalm 101:3, Isaiah 1:16, 66:4 How? Isaiah 26:3-4 How?
I. By walking with God in His truth (vv. 1-3)
A. Walking with God in His Word helps us to trust in the Lord (v. 1c)
B. Walking with God in His Word helps us to be honest with God (vv. 1a, 2; Psalm 139:23-24)
C. Walking with God in His Word helps us walk in fellowship with God (v. 1b)
II. By loving time with God in His house (vv. 4-8)
A. Helps us avoid companying with wicked people (vv. 4-5)
B. Helps us keep things cleaned up between us and God (vv. 6, 8)
C. Helps us remember how blessed we are by God (v. 7)
D. Helps us build relationships with God’s people (v. 8)
III. By blessing the Lord with His people (vv. 9-12)
A. We bless the Lord by entering into relationship with Him willingly (vv. 9-10)
B. We bless the Lord by walking in fellowship with Him obediently (v. 11)
C. We bless the Lord by coming before Him to worship faithfully (v. 12)
