TEXT: I John 3:11-24

I. God has called us to love one another (v. 11)
A. This is the message God has given from the beginning
B. This is the message Jesus came to show us in real life
C. This is the message that the Christian faith is all about

II. Satan has called us to hate one another (vv. 12-15)
A. Hate was behind the attacks of 9/11
B. Hate was behind the assassination of Charlie Kirk
C. Hate is Satan’s apparatus for us to destroy each other (John 10:10)

III. Biblical love produces godly good actions (vv. 16-24)
A. God’s love produced the action of sending us our Saviour (v. 16; John 3:16)
B. God’s love produces fruit of action in helping others in need (vv. 17-18)
C. God’s love produces faith in us to God and fruit from us to others (vv. 19-24)
