TEXT: Luke 10:25-37

I. Some people are always trying to find fault (vv. 25-26)
A. Some people allow their religion to cause them to find fault (v. 25a)
B. Some people allow their intelligence to cause them to find fault (v. 10:25b)
C. All people need to be challenged with God’s truth to help them (v. 26)
II. Some people are always trying to find loopholes (vv. 27-29)
A. We can know the truth in our head but not our heart (v. 27)
B. We can know the Gospel in our head but not believe it in our heart (v. 28)
C. We can know the right answer but be deceived in our heart (v. 29)
III. Everyone needs the truth of God’s Word to help them (vv. 30-37)
A. Everyone needs to see their condition in this world (v. 30)
1. We are all a certain person
2. We are all being attacked by the evil one and his servants
3. We are all left for dead spiritually by sin and Satan
B. Everyone needs to realize they can be part of the problem (vv. 31-32)
C. Everyone needs to realize they can be part of the solution (vv. 33-37)
1. Every one of us are busy in our daily journey of life (v. 33a)
2. Every one of us see things that should move us to compassion (v. 33b)
3. Every one of us must choose to show love to another (v. 34)
4. Every one of us must choose to meet the genuine needs of another (v. 35)
5. Every one of us must choose to be loving to another in need (vv. 36-37)
