TEXT: 1 TIMOTHY 2:1-8

I. Being a faithful prayer warrior (vv. 1-2)
A. For our fellow citizens
B. For our governmental leaders
C. For our society in general

II. Being a faithful witness of Christ (vv. 3-7)
A. God wants people to enjoy peace and quiet in godliness and honesty (v. 3)
B. God wants people to be saved by the truth of the Gospel (v. 4)
C. God wants people to benefit from the Redeemer He has provided for all (vv. 5-6)
1. God has given only one remedy for the sins of us all
2. God gave Jesus to be the sacrifice to cleanse whosoever from their sins
3. Jesus paid the debt of sin for us all who will trust in Him as Saviour
4. God wants all people to hear about His love and provision for all people
D. God wants people who have benefitted from it to share it with others (v. 7)

III. Being a faithful influence on society (v. 8)
A. Praying everywhere by us all
B. Lifting up holy hands not sinful
C. Being a help to others not a hindrance
1. Wrath does not draw people to Jesus, grace does
2. Doubting truth causes others to doubt it as well
3. Being a growing Christian helps us be a help to others
