TEXT:  NUMBERS 14

We need to trust and obey God…

1. For ourselves to experience God’s blessings.  Numbers 14:1-9
   1. Our decisions affect:
      1. our lives directly
      2. our future personally
      3. our families collectively
      4. our leaders reactively
      5. Our decisions either honor or dishonor God.
2. For those we influence with our decisions & actions:  Numbers 14:10-45
   1. We determine how our lives influence others
   2. Our decisions are an example to others for good or bad
   3. God will ultimately be glorified either in our life or in our death.  Philippians 2:9-11
3. For those who are coming behind us that experience the results of our decisions:
   1. Our children
   2. Our grandchildren
   3. Our great grandchildren
   4. Our descendants in the generations to come.

• This same type of event is repeated in history multiple times.
• This same nation of people jeopardized their offspring in their rejection of Jesus as Messiah.  Matthew 27:35
• This same consequential dynamic will take place this week in each of our lives & there will be future effects from our decisions.
