Text:  Isaiah 53

1. The Incarnation of Jesus in love for us     Isaiah 53:1-4
   1. To become like unto us
      1. Revealed in the flesh for us to see
      2. Grow up before him as a human
      3. We shall see him in physical form
   2. To live among us as one of us
   3. To take our place in death for sin       Exodus 18:4,20;  Galatians 3:13
      1. Stricken of God for us; so He had to have a body
      2. Smitten of God for us; so He had to have flesh
      3. Suffering of God for us; so He had to be physical
2. The crucifixion of Jesus in love for us    Isaiah 53:5-9
   1. His suffering was for our benefit
   2. He took our sins upon Himself
   3. He willingly laid down His life for us
   4. He was sinless so that He could take our sins
3. The victory of Jesus in love for us    Isaiah 53:10-12
   1. The satisfaction of righteousness
   2. The resurrection of glorification
   3. The exaltation of eternal victory     Philippians 2:5-11
