TEXT:  ISAIAH 45:18-25

INTRODUCTION:  GENESIS 1:1; JOHN 1:1-2

1. 1. The true God is the Creator of all things.
      1. The Lord God is declared to be the Creator.  Acts 4:24
      2. The Lord God alone established the functioning of creation.  Psalm 102:24-28
      3. The Lord God created the earth to be inhabited with life.  Hebrews 1:5-14
      4. The creation of God will perish, but the God of creation will never perish.
   2. The true God revealed Himself to man.
      1. God reveals Himself through His spoken Word.  Isaiah 45:10-19; 23
      2. God reveals Himself through His inspired Word.  2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 3:15; 1 John 2:14, 21, 26; 5:13
      3. God reveals Himself through His living Word.  Romans 14:7-12; Philippians 2:10-11
   3. The true God is supreme, superior & sovereign.
      1. Because God alone can meet our greatest needs.  Isaiah 45:20
      2. Because God is able to do more than anyone else.  Daniel 3:29
      3. Because God exists eternally.  Isa 45:21
         1. God alone exists beyond time.  Psalm 90:2; 103:17
         2. There is no other Saviour but God.
         3. There is no other God who is just to justify sinners.
   4. The true God is the only source of eternal life.
      1. He alone can save us from eternal death.  John 17:3; 1 John 2:25
      2. He only gives us eternal life through faith in His Son, Jesus.  1 John 5:10-12
      3. He only has one plan of Salvation for everyone.  1 John 5:20
