TEXT:  Galatians 4:1-7

I. Who we are apart from Christ  –  Galatians 4: 1-3

1. We are no different than a servant of sin      (John 3:16-18, 36)
2. We are able to one day become a child of God 
3. We are in bondage to the elements of this world      (Galatians 3:21-29)

II. Who Christ is and what He did for us  –  Galatians 4:4-5

1. Christ came just at the right time      (Malachi 3:1; Mark 1:15; Daniel 9:24-26; Acts 1:7)
2. Christ came just in the right way      (Genesis 3:15)
3. Christ came just for the right reason      (John 1:11-14)

III. Who we are in Christ forever   –  Galatians 4:6-7

1. When we are saved, we are a child of God forever
2. When we are saved, we are given His Spirit in our soul
3. When we are saved, we are no longer servants of sin. 
4. When we are saved, we are an heir of God forever      (Romans 8:14-17) 
5. When we are saved, we are in Christ forever
