AM: “BEING SATISFIED IN THE LORD FOR ALL PEOPLE IN ALL PLACES”

TEXT:  II CHRONICLES 6:12-42

Introduction:  I Chronicles 16

  1. This was a prayer in a corporate worship service     II Chronicles 6:12-21
    1. It was a prayer unto the Lord God Almighty
    2. It was a prayer about the Lord God Almighty
    3. It was a prayer for the people of the Lord God Almighty
  2. It was a prayer for God’s help to His people     II Chronicles 6:22-31
    1. When they sin against others
    2. When they sin against God
      1. Defeated by their enemies due to sin
      2. Missing out on the blessings of God
      3. Suffering sickness because of sinfulness
      4. We all have sin & need God’s forgiveness
    3. When they are seeking to get right with God
  3. It was a prayer that included every person in every place      II Chronicles 6:32-33
    1. The Gentile strangers
    2. God reaching out to them too
    3. All people in all places welcomed to come     Matthew 11:28-30;  Isaiah 45:22; 55:1-3; John 7:37-39; Revelation 22:17
  4. It was a prayer requesting God’s blessing     II Chronicles 6:40-42
    1. On the house of prayer dedicated to Him
    2. On the servants of God leading the people of God in His house
    3. On the people of God who gather obediently in His house
