WED: “The fear of the Lord makes us teachable”

TEXT:  PSALM 25:1-22

  1. The fear of the Lord helps us to benefit from His teaching      Psalm 25:12-14
    1. It helps us be in a place to be taught God’s will
    2. It helps us be able to benefit from the blessings of God
    3. It helps us be able to gain personal truths from the Lord
  2. It helps us want to learn from the Lord    Psalm 25:1-7
    1. To seek help from the Lord
    2. To trust in the Lord
    3. To wait on the Lord
    4. To learn from the Lord
    5. To be right with the Lord
  3. So that we can learn from the Lord    Psalm 25:8-11
    1. To teach sinners God’s way to Him
    2. To teach the meek God’s way of living
    3. To teach those in covenant with God in forgiveness
  4. It helps us to pay better attention to the Lord    Psalm 25:15-22
    1. The fear of the Lord helps us to focus on the Lord
    2. The fear of the Lord helps us to admit our need of Him
    3. The fear of the Lord helps us to trust in the Lord for help
      1. The help of His deliverance; presence; redemption and protection
