October was a wonderful month of emphasizing worldwide evangelization for Summerville Baptist Church. We started with a church planter being sent out of Berean Baptist in Pendleton to plant Morrow County Baptist Church in Boardman. The Andresen family is going to begin holding services in May of next year, and I hope we can be a help to them. Then we were blessed to have Joe Merlo join us for both of our Wednesday services. The Merlos have been serving in Argentina for over thirty years and our church has been supporting them the entire time. The team from the Passage Northwest was a huge help with our Harvest Festival outreach event, and we had several new families on the property enjoying a fun time. Keep praying for the Holy Spirit to use the Gospel message about seasons of change to work in their hearts. It was a blessing to enjoy the college students and the Bowers on Sunday in the services as well. We are always blessed to have Bro. Floyd Stevens and his wife Diane, as well as Amanda and Maddy with us in our services. They were here for our Faith Missions Revival on Thursday night. It has been our honor to support this wonderful couple while they have been serving the Lord in the prison at Walla Walla, WA. Remember to pray for the need of helpers and someone to be called to replace him as a Rock of Ages volunteer chaplain in the prison. Our dinner Friday evening went well as did our Gospel mailing to the U.S. Senate. John Sinskie was a great blessing to meet and we were blessed to hear the Word of God proclaimed. It would be a great honor for us to be able to invest in this family who has come to be used of God to help a church that has been dwindling to begin to grow again. It was a blessing to have several gathered last Saturday to spend time spreading the Gospel in our local area as we seek to be obedient to God’s will as stated in His Word to His people in His churches. The first week of receiving the mission giving response cards was wonderful, and I pray that God will enable each of us to obey His will in giving to missions in the coming year. We had a great crew help with the U.S. Representives Gospel mailing on Sunday afternoon. Please pray for God to work in the heart of our elected leaders through the Gospel tracts mailed out. It has been such a blessing to have the Flippo family gathering together this past week so we could enjoy the fellas preaching for us. We pray for them and their service elsewhere, but it has been great to have them here with us again. Today, we are blessed to have Rick and Regina Adams with us. Sister Adams was a blessing to our ladies on the ladies retreat this weekend and Brother Adams is a blessing as well each time he preaches God’s Word for us. I am thankful for all God has done and for all He is still doing.
