Pray!

I am convinced that prayer is vital to our success in the work of God here on earth. God commands us to pray in the Bible and we need to talk to God about each aspect of our lives. We seek God to guide us in life and to give us wisdom in the decisions we make each day that determine the future of our lives. We need to talk to God about our own cares and concerns so they do not consume us. We also need to intercede on behalf of others and the cares they are dealing with in their own lives. We need to pray for our nation to turn to God. We need to pray for God to work in the coming elections for His glory and our good. We need to pray to God to work in the hearts of those who do not know Him, and we need to pray for those who do know Him to walk with Him in their lives. We need to pray for God to help us in understanding His Word when we read it for ourselves. We need to pray and give thanks to God for our food before we eat it acknowledging Him as the giver of it to us. We need to pray for God to help us through the difficulties and challenges we face each day. We need to ask God to help us honor Him through our successes and our setbacks. We need to pray for God to be glorified in our church and in our relationships with others. We need to pray for our friends and loved ones who do not know the Lord as their Saviour and for our witness to them. We need to ask God to show us the things in our lives that He wants to change and how He wants to use our lives to His glory in His work here on earth. We need to give thanks to God for His goodness shown to us and the blessings He blesses us with each day. We need to worship God in prayer adoring Him and praising Him for the great and good God that He is. We need to pray for His forgiveness in our lives when we realize that we have sinned against Him again. We need to pray. We need to pray all the time and about all things that matter to us and to God. Pray!
