TEXT:  JOB 28:20-28

I. God says the fear of the Lord is wisdom      Job 28:20-28

A. Wisdom is instructed to us by the fear of the Lord      Prov. 15:33

B. Wisdom to live life in a blessed way

C. Wisdom to live life in a better way

II. God’s Word says the fear of the Lord is where wisdom begins      Psalm 111:10    Proverbs 9:10

1. It gives us understanding of God’s creation
2. It gives us understanding of how to live effectively
3. It gives us knowledge of God to understand things better

III. God’s Word says the fear of the Lord is where knowledge begins      Proverbs 1:1-7

1. God gives us instruction for understanding in His Word      vss. 1-2
2. We need to listen to God’s wisdom from His Word to learn truth      vss. 3-5
3. Respecting and honoring God helps us to be teachable      vss. 6-7

IV. God’s Word says the fear of the Lord is His treasure      Isaiah 33:5-6

1. To be given to them that seek after it
2. To be given to them by Him as they seek it
3. To be given to them to help them live to His glory
