TEXT:  PROVERBS 8:12-13

The Fear of the Lord is a Source of Confidence & Life.

1. Living in the fear of the Lord is a context of living life
   1.  A context of how we live “in the fear of the Lord”
   2.  A context of where we live “a place of refuge”
   3.  A context of what we live with “a fountain of life”
2.  Living in the fear of the Lord is confidence to have in living life       vs. 26a
   1. It is the best foundation of confidence for all of God’s children     Proverbs 14:16
   2. It is the best source of confidence for all of God’s children     Proverbs 28:11
   3. It is the best place of confidence for all of God’s children     Proverbs 21:22
3.  Living in the fear of the Lord is comfort in living life      vs. 26b
   1. Comfort to get away from the challenges of life
   2. Comfort to rest up for the demands of life
   3. Comfort of protection from the dangers of life
4.  Living in the fear of the Lord is a continuous flow of life      vs. 27
   1. It flows with life giving resources
   2. It feeds into one’s life strength
   3. It facilitates our departures from traps of destruction
      1. Departing from them by going a different way
      2. Deliverance from them by identifying them ahead to avoid them     Proverbs 22:3, 27:12
   4. Detouring around them so not to be destroyed by them
