WED: “THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD CAUSES US NOT TO FEAR”

TEXT:  PSALM 46

  1. We will not fear natural disasters because of God     Psalm 46:1-3
    1. Because of who God is to His children
    2. Because of what God can do for His children
    3. Because God is with us no matter what happens, we do not need to fear
  2. We will not fear political upheaval because of God    Psalm 46:4-7
    1. Being in God’s presence should make us glad in Him
    2. Being in God’s presence should give us stability in turmoil
    3. Being in God’s presence should give us security in upheaval
  3. We need not fear the future unknowns because of God    Psalm 46:8-11
    1. The works of God are awesome for us to see
    2. The power of God over governments is superior
    3. The presence of God gives peace to whosoever will
      1. We have to be still in His presence & wait with Him
      2. We have to be confident in who He is & trust in Him
      3. We have to let Him do His work in His way for His glory
      4. We have to be willing to find our refuge in being with Him
