WED: “The mercy of the Lord is connected to the fear of the Lord”

TEXT:  Psalm 103:8-22

Introduction:  Psalm 103:1-7

  1. His mercy is available to all, but benefited from by some    Psalm 103:8-14
    1. It is offered to whosoever will come to Him in faith
    2. It is limited in how long it is offered, not to whom it is offered
    3. It is benefited by all those who fear the Lord
  2. His mercy is eternal, but our opportunity for it is waning    Psalm 103:15-18
    1. God’s mercy is available to whosoever for a limited time
    2. God’s mercy is everlasting to all who fear the Lord
    3. God’s mercy is eternal for those in a covenant relationship with Him
  3. His mercy enables us to honor God on earth and eternally    Psalm 103:19-22
    1. The Lord is the ultimate sovereign authority to us all
      1. The ultimate & final judge and ruler on His throne
      2. The ultimate & final accountability for us all
    2. The Lord is worthy of honor by all those He has created
      1. The angels are created by the Lord & are to bless Him
      2. The minsters are created by the Lord & are to bless Him
      3. The universe & all that is in it are created by the Lord & are to bless Him
    3. The Lord is to be pleased by all those in His dominion
      1. As the Creator of all in His creation, He is to be obeyed
      2. As the Lord over all in His creation, He is to be praised
      3. As the Judge over all in His creation, He is to be honored
