TEXT: I Samuel 16:1-19

I. The Holy Spirit uses us to bless others in serving the Lord (vv. 1-3)
A. The Holy Spirit helps us do God’s will in blessing others (v. 1)
B. The Holy Spirit helps us obey God’s will in difficulties (v. 2)
C. The Holy Spirit helps us follow God’s will in reaching out to others (v. 3)

II The Holy Spirit uses us to bless others when we are forgotten (vv. 4-13)
A. Men do not always see clearly what God can do with us (vv. 4-9)
B. Our family can often miss how God can use us in His work (vv. 10-11)
C. God’s Spirit can help us be used to bless others in amazing ways (vv. 12-13)

III. God can use His Spirit in us in many different ways to His glory (vv. 14-19)
A. We will have a troubling spirit when we do not have God’s Spirit (vv. 14-15)
B. God’s Spirit in us can help us bless others with a troubled spirit (vv. 16-17)
C. We can honor God by being used by God’s Spirit to bless others (vv. 18-19)
