- Nehemiah had a legitimate fear of the king
- Nehemiah had a greater confidence in the Lord
- Nehemiah had a favorable result by trusting in the Lord
- Faith in the Lord helps us when we have fears Psalm 56:1-3
- Faith in God’s mercy helps us when we feel threatened
- Faith in God’s greatness helps us when we are outnumbered
- Faith in God’s presence helps us when we are afraid of anything
- Faith in the Lord helps us to have confidence over fear Psalm 56:4-7
- God’s Word builds our trust in God
- God’s Word builds our praise of God for His trustworthiness Psalm 119:89-90
- God’s Word builds our peace because of trusting in God more Isaiah 26:3-4
- God’s Word builds our patience to wait on God, rather than turning to man
- Our trust in God builds our confidence in God
- Our confidence in God builds our ability not to fear
- God’s Word builds our trust in God
- Faith in the Lord causes us to turn to Him in our fears Psalm 56:8-13
- The Lord knows everything about us, so we should turn to Him
- God’s Word is always true causing us to praise the Lord
- Faith in the Lord causes us to not be trapped by the fear of man Romans 10:17; Proverbs 29:25
- God’s promises cause us to trust in Him & have confidence
- God’s faithfulness to His children motivates us to trust in Him
