TEXT:   Psalm 43

I. Worship helps us to seek God’s help in our life (v. 1)
A. He is seeking God to defend him
B. He is seeking God to plead his case for him
C. He is seeking God to deliver him from his enemies

II. Worship helps us when we are discouraged (v. 2)
A. God is our strength of life
1. He is our source of physical life
2. He is our source of spiritual life
3. He is our source of emotional life
B. God is our encouragement when we are discouraged
1. Even when we feel distant from God
2. Even when we feel grief over our circumstance
3. Even when we feel opposed by our enemies
C. God is our source of clarity and direction
1. God can give us His light to help us see clearly
2. God can give us His light to help guide us ahead
3. God can give us His truth to help us discern
4. God can give us His truth to strengthen our faith in Him

III. Worship brings us to more worship (vv. 3-4)
A. If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we will come to worship (v. 3; I John 1:7)
B. If we walk in the truth of His Word, it will bring us to worship Him again (v. 3)
C. If we walk in fellowship with God, we will want to worship God more (v. 4)
1. It will bring us to God’s presence thy holy hill
2. It will bring us to God’s house thy tabernacle
3. It will bring us to God’s worship the altar of God
