PM: “Satisfied By What God does Through Suffering”

TEXT:  Acts 7:54 – 8:8

  1. The result of God’s Word & work is mixed
    1. It caused Stephen to be passionate for the Lord
    2. It caused the enemies of God to be enraged
    3. It caused the church of God to be persecuted
    4. It caused the work of God still to get accomplished
  2. The result of suffering can be genuine revival
    1. People were scattered all around
    2. People were proclaiming God’s Word all around
    3. People were getting right with God all around  See also Acts 8, 9, 10 & 11
  3. The result of genuine revival is life changing     Acts 8:6-8
    1. People are unified for what is good not evil
    2. Lives are changed for God’s glory & for good
    3. There is joy around those who are changed for good.
