Introduction: I Peter 1:13
I. Renew thinking to live life God’s way (vv. 14-16)
A. As a child of God, I am not to live by my fleshly desires (v. 14; Ephesians 4:20-24; Colossians 3:1-3, 8-10)
B. As a child of God, I am to live by His holiness in me (v. 15)
C. As a child of God, I am made holy in His holiness to live a holy life (v. 16)

II. Renew thinking because I am cleansed by the blood of Jesus (vv. 17-21)
A. If I have called on God for forgiveness by faith in His Son (v. 17)
B. If I have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb of God (vv. 18-19)
C. If I have believed on God’s promise of Salvation by His sacrifice for sin (vv. 20-21)

III. Renew thinking because I am born again by God’s living Word (vv. 22-25)
A. My soul is purified only by obeying God’s Gospel truth (v. 22a)
B. My soul is purified only by obeying God’s Spirit’s conviction (v. 22b)
C. My soul is born again not by anything that is physical or corruptible (v. 24)
D. My soul is made alive eternally only by God’s living, eternal Word (vv. 23, 24; Hebrews 4:12-13)
