I. Think of others not yourself (vs. 1-3)
A. Help those who truly need help (v. 1a)
B. Please the Lord not just yourself (vs. 1b-2)
C. Follow the example of Jesus Christ (v. 3)

II. Learning is vital to our life experience (v. 4)
A. Information is written down to benefit others
B. Information must be received and retained for learning
C. Information must be learned in order to help us in life
1. Learning comes before understanding
2. Learning comes before utilizing
3. Learning comes before benefitting

III. Let God help you through His Son Jesus Christ (vs. 5-7)
A. Help you in your relationships with others (v. 5)
B. Help you bring honor to God with others (v. 6)
C. Help you in being gracious with others (v. 7)
