TEXT: II Timothy 1:15-18

Introduction:
*Timothy knew the challenges Paul faced in his ministry firsthand
*Timothy knew the testimony of Onesiphorus as a godly, faithful man of God

I. God’s faithful servants will always face opposition (v. 15)
A. Timothy knew Paul had enemies who worked against him
B. Jesus told us that many will oppose those who are faithful to him (John16:33)
C. Satan is always using his children to work against God’s children (John 8:35-47; 15:18-21; 17:14-16)

II. God will always give us faithful supporters (vv. 16-17)
A. Paul knew he was supported by Timothy (v. 4)
B. Paul was encouraged by Onesiphorus often (v. 16)
C. Paul was blessed by his visit in Rome (v. 17)

III. God will always bless His obedient servants (v. 18)
A. We need to pray for God’s faithful servants
B. We need to honor the faithfulness of God’s ministers
C. We need to encourage others with the blessings they have
