AM: “WITHOUT EXCUSE”

TEXT:  ROMANS 1:16-28

I. The Gospel is powerful enough to save the lost (vv. 16-17)
A. It is only limited by us not sharing it (v. 16a)
B. It can produce salvation to everyone (v. 16b)
C. It must be heard to be believed (v. 17; Ephesians 1:11-14)

II. God reveals Himself to all of us who live (vv. 18-20)
A. His judgment against sin is revealed in His Word (v. 18)
B. His Word makes Himself known to us (v. 19; Psalm 19:7-14)
C. His creation declares His glory (v. 20; Psalm 19:1-6)

III. We determine our response to God (vv. 21-28)
A. We decide to glorify God for who He is or not (v. 21)
B. We choose to honor God for who He is or change Him for us (vv. 22-24)
C. We accept God’s truth for what it says or make it what we say (v. 25)
D. We determine to believe on God as God or become reprobate (vv. 26-28; I Corinthians 9:27; II Cor. 13:5; Titus 1:13-16)
1. God gave them up after they gave up on God for sin (vv. 24, 26)
2. The women changed their natural use themselves
3. The men changed their natural use of the women for themselves
4. This happened because they choose not to retain God in their minds
5. God gave them over to their own mind that they had reprobated against His truth to continue in sin without His intervention
