The Teaching of Jesus

• The conditions of our discipleship
  • Supreme love for the Lord leads to submission.
    • We are a construction project – verses 28,29
    • We need to count the cost and finish the race
    • Submission = bearing the cross and denying self.
  • Christ is our: Saviour; Sovereign and Satisfaction.  Galatians 5:24; John 13:10; Psalm 107:9
  • As believers, we are not characterized (dominated) by sinful desires.  Galatians 5:19
• How do you get victory over the sins of the flesh?
  • FLEE!!  1 Cor 6:12, 18; 2 Cor 10:14; Romans 13:14
  • Surrender fleshly things
  • Surrender worldly things.
  • Christ now satisfies us!
