  2. The humiliation of Christ – Isaiah 9:6,7; 4:2; Revelation 22:16
    1. Christ as man
    2. Not out of ordinary wealth – Luke 16:14
    3. Not out of social prestige – Luke 14:7-14; 15:12
    4. Not out of reputation – Luke 18:9-14
    5. Not out of being served by others – Luke 22:24-27
    6. Not out of pampering yourself – Matthew 16:21-28
  3. The substitutionary ministry and sacrifice of Christ – Isa 53:4-6
    1. He bore our griefs & carried our sorrows – Lev 16; Heb 4:15; John 13:15
    2. He was wounded, bruised, chastised, & with His stripes we are healed – Mark 15:17-20; Phil 2:5-8; Jer 17:14
  4. The silence & sufficiency of the sacrifice of Christ – Isa 53:7-12
