TEXT:  Colossians 3:1-4

Introduction: Psalm 51:10, Colossians 3:10
I. Saved by the risen Christ (v. 1)
A. Risen with Christ because Christ is risen (Matthew 28:6; Colossians 2:12-13)
B. Keep your focus on your eternal home
C. Focus on where Christ is with God now (Romans 6:9-11; Ephesians 2:5-6)

II. Sanctified for the living Redeemer Christ (vv. 2-3)
A. Setting your desires on eternal things (v. 2a; I Chronicles 22:19; 29:3)
B. Wanting less of the things of this world (v. 2b; I John 2:15-17)
C. Being dead to this world and living in Christ more (v. 3; Romans 6:1-14)

III. Secure in the returning Christ (v. 4)
A. Christ is our life if we are in Him (John 11:24-27; 20:31; Galatians 2:20; I John 5:12)
B. Christ will be coming again (Matthew 25:31; Acts 1:11)
C. Christ is coming to take His followers to Heaven (John 14:1-6)

Action Points:
* Do I know the day I was risen with Christ by faith in His resurrection for me?
* How am I growing as a child of God in my life right now?
* Am I secure in my relationship with Christ and ready for His return?
