TEXT:   Ephesians 6:10-18

I. God has a plan to help us with our courage (vv. 10-11)

1. By knowing the Lord as your Saviour (v. 10a)
2. By experiencing the strength of the Lord (v. 10)
3. By arming yourself with God’s armor against Satan (v. 11)

II. It takes courage to stand against evil in the world (vv. 12-14a)

1. It takes courage to stand against the evil we see (v. 12a)
2. It takes courage to stand against the evil behind what we see (v. 12)
3. It takes courage only God can give us to stand against true evil (vv. 13-14a)

III. The right armor helps give us more courage (vv. 14b-17a)

1. Truth holding everything together (v. 14)
2. Righteousness protecting essentials for life (v. 14)
3. Peace from God’s Gospel giving us stability (v. 15)
4. Faith to defend us against attacks and doubts (v. 16)
5. Salvation to help us think biblically (v. 17)

IV. The right ammunition gives us more courage (vv. 17b-18)

1. The Word of God as a weapon empowered by God (v. 17b)

B. The weapon of prayer to God unleashing the power of Heaven (v. 18)
