TEXT:  JOHN 11:17-44

Introduction: v. 17 “Then when Jesus came…” John 11:1-16

I. Jesus offers hope to our hopeless situations (vv. 17-24)
God’s timing is always perfect (vv. 17-19)
God’s presence offers perfect peace (vv. 20-22)
God’s solution is more than sufficient (vv. 23-24)

II. Jesus is the greatest solution to our needs (vv. 25-28)
Terminal illness is one of mankind’s greatest fears (vv. 1-16)
Death is one of mankind’s greatest fears (vv. 25-26a)
Personal faith in the personal Saviour is the greatest solution (vv. 26b-28)

III. Jesus always cares about our cares (vv. 29-37)
He cares about our cares due to the hurts others cause us (vv. 29-31)
He cares about our cares due to the trials of life (vv. 32-35)
He cares about our cares due to our own lack of faith (vv. 36-37)

IV. Jesus can help us see the glory of God by faith (vv. 38-44)
We often frustrate God’s work in our lives in unbelief (vv. 38-40)
When we exercise faith in God, we can experience His glory (vv. 40-43)
Only God can give new life where death is reigning (v. 44)
