TEXT:   Ephesians 1:15-23
I. I am helped by the Holy Spirit to live to God’s glory on earth (vv. 15-18)
A. Faith in Jesus gives us a new love for others (v. 15; John 13:34; 15:12; I John 4:7-11; I Peter 1:22-25)
B. Faith in Jesus gives us a new gratitude for others (v. 16a; Psalm 100:4; Colossian 3:12- 15)
C. Faith in Jesus gives us a new graciousness for others (v. 16b)
D. Faith in Jesus gives us a new spirit of wisdom from God (v. 17a; James 3:13-18; Proverbs 1:1-7)
E. Faith in Jesus gives us a new understanding of revelation in knowing God (v. 17b; I Corinthians 2:10-16)
F. Faith in Jesus gives us a new way to live life because of His Spirit living in us (v. 18)
II. I am empowered by God’s Spirit living in me (vv. 19-23)
A. I benefit from His power to me (v. 19a; John 1:12)
B. I benefit from His power working in me (v. 19b; Colossians 3:20-21; Romans 6:11-22)
C. I benefit from His power working through me to others (vv. 20-21)
III. I benefit from His power personally and corporately as part of His body (vv. 22-23)
A. As I submit to the Lord in my life (v. 22a; James 4:6-10)
B. As I help my church submit to His headship (v. 22b)
C. As I experience His fulness in my life and help my church (v. 23; John 1:16; Romans 11:12, 25; 15:29; I Corinthians 10:26&28; Galatians 4:4; Ephesians 1:10; 3:19; 4:13; Colossians 1:19; 2:9)
