TEXT:  EPHESIANS 2:19-22

  • Introduction:
    • In the church today, there are
      • Believers  2 Corinthians 4:13
      • Make-Believers
  • The Apostle Paul reminds us that as born-again believers:
    • We are part of the family of God!  Ephesians 2:19
    • We are framed together as individuals forming the Body of Christ.  Ephesians 2:21
    • We have a future with God forever!  Eph 2:22; John 14:1-3
  • But with these privileges, also come the responsibilities we have before God.  2 Peter 3:18
  • God wants us to be:
    • A member of His family!  2 Peter 3:9; 1 Peter 1:3
      • This involves:
        • Believing.  Romans 10:9-13; John 3:15; John 1:12; Eph 2:8
        • Belonging.  We must not forsake our “church family!”  Hebrews 10:25
    • A model of His Character!  Acts 11:26; Romans 8:28-29
      • This involves:
        • A Godly Pattern.  1 Peter 2:21-25
        • A Personal Purity.  1 Timothy 4:12
    • A minister of His Grace!  1 Peter 4:10; Romans 12:1-2
      • This involves:
        • Our heart.  1 John 3:14; 1 John 4:11-13; 1 John 4:19-21; Ephesians 4:32
        • Our hands.  Matthew 20:25-28; Romans 12:9-11
    • A messenger of His Love!  2 Corinthians 5:17-21
      • This involves:
        • A message.  1 Corinthians 15:1-4; John 3:16
        • A mission.   John 15:16; 2 Corinthians 5:20
    • A magnifier of His Name!  Psalm 34:3; Acts 11:26
      • We must magnify the Name of Jesus with:
        • Our lips.  Psalm 19:14; 34:1
        • Our lives.  Matthew 5:13-16; Psalm 34:3
        • Our labor.  1 Corinthians 3:9
    • Conclusion:
      • Three Homes we all need:
        • Christian Home
        • Church Home
        • Heavenly Home!
    • Please understand that you don’t have to go to heaven, you don’t have to go to hell, but you are not going to stay here!
    • If you have never been saved, please give your heart to Jesus right now!  2 Corinthians 6:2
