I. The declaration of false teachers (v. 3)
A. It is the same for everyone
B. Teaching contrary to the Apostles of Jesus
C. Using unwholesome words in their communication
D. Preaching inconsistent with the words of Jesus when on earth
E. Preaching differently than Bible doctrine that produces godly living

II. The description of false teachers (vv. 4-5)
A. Pridefully out for their own gain
B. Ignorant of the truth of God’s Word
C. Creating questions that cause weak faith
D. Using words that stir up trouble needlessly
E. Perverting truth with their corrupted mind
F. Preaching and teaching void of biblical truth
G. Falsely concluding that monetary gain equals godly ministry

III. The determination regarding false teachers (v. 5c)
A. Withdraw yourself from them (II Thessalonians 3:6-15)
B. Have no fellowship with them (II Timothy 3:1-9; Ephesians 5:6-11)
C. Identify yourself separately from them (Romans 16:17-20; Philippians 3:17-21)
