AM: “BY FAITH”

Text: Colossians 2:6-15

  1. As ye have therefore received Christ  –  See Colossians 2:1-6
    1. We receive Christ by Faith  Col 2:5; Eph 2:8,9; Romans 3:22, 28, 30; Romans 5:1,2
    2. We receive Christ by His Word   Col 2:2-3; Romans 10:17; I Thessalonians 2:10-16
    3. We receive Christ by understanding the Gospel  Col 2:2-5
  2. So walk ye in Christ  –  See Colossians 2:2-5; Ephesians 1:12,13; I Peter 2:1,2; 2 Peter 3:18
    1. We must walk in Him by faith  Romans 1:17; 2 Corinthians 4:7; Galatians 3:17
    2. We must walk in Him by His Word  I Peter 2:2
    3. We must walk in Him with growing understanding  Colossians 2:7
      1. By the help of His Spirit guiding us in truth  John 13:16
      2. By the help of His under-shepherd  Acts 20:28; I Peter 5:2
      3. By the help of His worship  Psalm 63:1-9
  3. Be established in Christ  Colossians 2:7
    1. Rooted in Christ – become stable, don’t stay wobbly
    2. Maturing in Christ
    3. Thanksgiving to Christ
